Introduction: The level of anxiety plays an important role in determining the quality of life of individuals, and by reducing it, effective action can be taken to improve the quality of life. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of regular eye-doping treatment with eye movement and re-treatment in decreasing symptoms and treating anxiety.
Materials and Methods: This practical research was semi-experimental by pre-posttest and control group. The population of the study consisted of all patients with anxiety who referred to hospitals and psychiatric and counseling centers of Tehran province (Iran). The non-random sampling method was used to select 30 subjects and then divided into two groups of 15 people. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire of 21 questions about depression and anxiety and stress of Leviibond. The reliability of the questionnaire was analyzed by Cronbach's alpha and its value was calculated as 0.87. The data analyzed in two level of descriptive and inferential by covariance method using SPSS software.
Results: A total of 100 people were enrolled in the study, which included 80 women and 20 men. The results showed that the treatment of individuals with eye movement and rehabilitation method significantly improved the scores of treated individuals compared to the control group (P = 0.000).
Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the Regular Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing has been effective in reducing anxiety and its symptoms.
