Dealing with Allegations of Research Misconduct

High ethical standards Observance in researches is an important responsibility imposed by local, state and international roles and also public trust to us. Any sign of misconducting or vague cases in research, will challenge the integrity of the study enterprise at large and threatens to undermine public trust in our moral duties of research. This misconducts may include one or more cases of below terms:

  1. Fabrication: making up data or results, recording and reporting them;
  2. Falsification: manipulating the research's  materials, equipment or processes, or changing or omitting data or results such that the research is not accurately represented in the research record;
  3. Plagiarism: the appropriation of another person’s ideas, processes, results, or words without giving appropriate credit. Research misconduct does not include honest error or honest differences of opinion.

In cases of research misconduct and vague studies, researchers are urged to keep in mind that the project stops promptly and after clear survey if verified that the research has some of above mentioned misconducts, it ruled out and reported to ethical committee. Also, next submission from that researchers will not accepted.
